As a long-standing member of CAMRA Alison gets to be *head beer chooser and taster*. She, travels in all the way from Staplehurst every day to look after the poultry here, struggle with updating this website, take care of events and promotions and the day to day running of the pub (although the youngsters are pretty slick at sorting themselves out and now occasionally play role reversal, plotting a course of action and then organising her!).
Aden joined us in September 2011. Just 17 years old at the time he held the fort in the kitchen for three months, for the time being he's putting in some hours on the bar while we await our extention decision. He has absolutely wowed our customers with his excellent cooking and quickly shown himself to be something special. We're convinced he's set to become an awesome head chef and is now undertaking an apprenticeship.
Mark has a whole heap of impressive qualifications and many years of experience in bar management. He's with us on an ad hoc basis as this is a man with a lot on the go - but when it comes to the crunch he'll pull out all the stops to make sure he's there when he's needed. He also likes taking photos - you've been warned!
Tony takes great care of our customers, enthusiastic and engaging but level headed and thoughtful too, he's a quick learner and a natural host and bound to make you feel welcome here. Tony has aspirations to have a business of his own one day and from what we've seen we don't doubt he'll achieve his goal.
Sibling to Aden and Mark, Ryan is definitly the joker in the family, he has an insane sense of humour and if he were any more laid back he'd be horizontal! Folks have taken to Ryan very quickly, you can't help but like him! However if there's something serious to attend to he can morph into the most focused person you could ever meet in the blink of an eye!

A little nod of appreciation to Michelle, who helps us out occasionally and does a superb job of it, the place wouldn't be the same without her.
Brian our number cruncher and stock controller Brian also helps out with the bar. As the designated ‘sensible person’ he has 42 years of previous business experience to draw on.
Pete our ‘ Mr Fix-it’, head gardener and safety advisor all rolled into one. Pete is most often seen flying about with a tool kit or a lawn mower early mornings.
